Growing up my family always watched the Olympics on TV, and I began to dream, “setting my standards high.” When I grew up, I didn't necessarily care about competing in the Olympics, I just wanted to go to the Olympics. I never could have imagined the role Timon was going to play in that dream by moving to China. When we found out the 2008 Summer Olympics were going to be in Beijing, Timon and I began to scheme about going together.

Go Ducks!
This year it's been really fun to go to the Duck games and follow them this season. I have had a chance to go to games with Annie, Ashleigh, Chelsea, and Casey!
I have to say, going to UW to watch a solid win was a fun memory! Chelsea and I went up with Annie, McKenzie, and a few others for the weekend. We met up with Jeff, and hung out with John for the first time in a long time! Seattle is such a fun city! Though people warned us about the UW fans, we ended up sitting in front of a few really funny people, (UW fans) and I think my favorite quote was, "I see your touchdown, and I'll raise you a field goal!" Needless to say we got the win!
That evening, we all went out to dinner at The Ram, and were so exhausted that we didn't last very long once dinner was over.
The next day, after finally tracking down a breakfast place, we took a quick trip through Pike's Place Market, and took a couple pics in front of the bubble gum wall, and went on our way. It was a blast of a weekend, and I can't wait to watch the ROSE BOWL soon! I'm jealous of my friends that get to go down! GO DUCKS!!

My First Blog!
My roomie has inspired me to start a blog. It seems like a fun way to keep track of eventful moments! The reason I called it "Bird's Eye View" is pretty self-explanatory. My blog is a bird's eye view in to my life...get it? :o)
There's a lot to catch up on, so we'll start with Christmas! Chelsea and I just went to get our Christmas tree, but we didn't have any ropes or bungee cords to tie it to my car. So we walked over to the K-Mart parking lot and hoped for the best. Once we found the tree of our dreams, we payed, and the guys had our tree out front. When we went to pick up the tree, the guys asked where they were taking it. We said, "three blocks over...??" They were really confused and we explained to them that we were hiking it back to the apartment. Hesitantly, they set the tree down. I don't think they had gotten that response before...Chels and I picked up the tree and proceeded to carry it across the parking lot and across the street. As we crossed the street, a lady in a mini-van rolled down her window and asked if we were ok. We didn't think we looked THAT pathetic, but it was a nice gesture! Now it's safe and sound in the apartment and only a little crooked to add character...
Merry Christmas!
The MOST eventful thing that is happening this month is my brother, Timon's wedding!! I am so thrilled because Timon and his fiance Kristina are a perfect match! I had the opportunity to spend some time with them together in China a couple of summers ago, and I could tell from the beginning that they were VERY compatible. It's only a few weeks away!! More to come!
Lastly, Monday night, Chels and I were showing Ashleigh a couple Elf Yourself videos. (Try it, by the way, hilarious! www.elfyourself.com ). Then, all of a sudden, but as expected by Chelsea, she broke out into dance, imitating the elves on the video. We discussed how funny it would be if we pretended to be elves and reenacted the videos. Chelsea grabbed her camera and the dancing began! Let's just say, these videos aren't going to win any awards, and are good for entertainment purposes only... (PS-I can't do the worm if my life depended on it...)
